Again, my question applies, did you do this by hand? Or did you go by the overhead liar?

Come on Big Sean, we're all dying to know. Don't get me wrong, but did you do the mileage by hand? Or did you go by the overhead "liar"? We're not poking fun at you, we just want to know; or atleast I do.

I get 14.5 or so around town and 17 to 18 on the city freeway. I've averaged as high as 22.5mpg over 160 miles when really driving conservatively. I'm sure I could average 20mpg on a long highway trip but I never go on long trips. I'm a 2WD PSD and use Rotella Synthetic, for what it's worth. I've also noted that I can hotrod it all day long and the mileage only goes down about 1mpg over the first numbers I gave you.

I installed the Hypertech PP III before my cross country trip. I started out averaging 14-15 at a cruise controlled 65-70. The fuel mileage continued to improve as I drove. I ended up at around 18 mpg. I have 37" tires and no other mods. I am looking at a K&N filter and some sort of exhaust upgrade in the near future. When I return to Cali, I will look into one the Superchip programmers or a chip. I should be getting 20+ on the freeway. Overall, very happy with this SUV.

Don't get one of these unless you want to buy a new turbo or pay to have it fixed! Either get an AFE from motorhaven or get a Tymar from Dale. But don't get a K&N filter, you will deeply regret it. I know I do.
