My truck was originally sold in Michigan, where there isn't too much of a call for a/c, so I don't have it. But living only a few hours from Death Valley, I have realized the need for a/c. The guy who sold it to me said the dealer quoted him $1200 to install a complete a/c system. That seems a bit cheap to me. Has anyone ever done this before, and does the price sound correct?
Sorry, but my truck has factory air, I came across that site looking for one for my 65 mustang.Totally differant style unit.Im sure they could send you installation information on request. They look like nice units, and should come with all the brackets and hoses.
Just wondering if anyone has gone to a "pick your part" yard and got one off a similar truck? If you have, is it a real job getting it out and installing it? How much did you pay at the yard? Is the wiring easily adaptible to a non A/C car?
