Lightbulb auto shipper reference

Hi,

I've got a 1947 ford panel truck needing to be shipped to me. Any recommendations on what company is trustworthy and not too expensive?

The truck does not run and doesn't have brakes. Therefore, some companies won't touch it.

Thanks!

Welcome to FTE!

Well I can't recommend an auto delivery service, but I can suggest an alternative that may be more suitable. Look for someone that hauls agricultural machinery in the area the truck is located. A lot of these guys do a good business with a dually and gooseneck trailer and look for the the smaller jobs. Some of the stuff they haul doesn't even have an engine or wheels, so a non-running truck with no brakes isn't a big deal.

You may be able to get a referral from a farm supply, tack and feed store, implement dealer or equipment rental. You could also use a message board like Yesterdays Tractors and check the link for hauling schedule.

Best of luck with your 'new' old truck!
