Hey guy's, I have a 1989 Big Bronco 4x4 stock gearing w/347 stroker kit 9.2to1 comp roller comp cams ,lifters, rockers, ford motor sports mass-air kit installed shorty headers . when I did the motor it needed injector's I bought 24lb injector's & installed a adj. fuel reg. had a hard time to get the engine through state smog insp. I cut down fuel pressure's! Do you know if I need a chip for this engine or not ? Fuel is not smelling rich ! It has stock head's & intake & throttle body. I'm not sure about fuel pressure's that is needed to set the reg. for my injector's
Wide band O2 sensor ? Don't know what your saying ? I will get the cam specs. this afternoon & post them tonight . I want fix it right I've got alot of money in it . I want it to last a long time.
A wide band O2 sensor allows you to measure the air/fuel ratio very accurately. A good speed shop should be able to do this test for you and its relatively inexpensive. Proper A/F ratio can do wonders for the power!
Cam spec's 212/218d 480/480lift 112*sep 3* adv. built in cam 109 intake center Maybe this will help this is what I'm using in the Bronco 347 EFI 24 lb inj stock top end.
You're going to find it hard to pass emissions with that cam. Its really impossible for me to give you any concrete answer without knowing what A/F ratio you're currently running. We can get it in the ballpark assuming you're using a stock fuel pressure pump and regulator, but its very difficult to know the ratio with the aftermarket regular without a wide band O2.
How much is the tool to do this I might just go & buy it so I can check every so often. Thank's After I get squaired away I get a chip for it at this site it seem's the way it read's in this FORM this brand is the way to go !!
Thank's Don I need all the help I can get thank's again !!! & who said old dog's can't learn !! I've learned from this form.
