Front tank overflows

Front tank overflows
On my 88 F150, when I fill both tanks, my front one overflows when parked. The rear tank is apparently higher than the front. The gauge doesn't work on the back, either, but I see that's pretty common. I've been just filling the front, but it doesn't hold much gas. Anyone else had this problem??

Ford's fix is to change both of the fuel pumps. this only applies if you have the dual hi pressure pumps only system. and not the low pressure duals with the booster on the rail. I fixed my dad's 87 f 150 by replacing the recirt valve or switching valve. some times it sticks open and fuel pumps into the front tank or migrats into the front from the rear.
