grille help

well i pulled my grille off today grabbed the one i got from the boneyard for $50, and wouldnt ya know i stick it up and its like an inch and a half wider. I have new fenders new inner fenders but no rad support. so can anyone tell me if it may be possible to get the old one straight again or should i start lokkin in junkyards for a straight rad support

before you ask the truck was previously driven on a farm and atleast 6 people have learned to drive in it has been laid over on both sides and ran into countless cattle and at least 1 tractor. it had a lot of tough love.

Hmmm, your truck has been worked over from all sides, tweaked, and its hard enough to "massage" those replacement parts into placre anyway,... why dont you take it back to the wrecking yard , explain the situation, and ask for a credit on your next purchase. I mean, an inch and a half..........

I'd look for another radiator support.

A radiator support from a '73-'79 truck will fit just fine, you'll just have to drill one hole for the hood latch. These are a lot easier to find in rust-free condition. They're slightly different cosmetically, but I doubt anyone would ever notice...or care.
