My van has had this problem for a couple of years. When the weather is cold, my slging door seems to buzz and the "door ajar" light flashes on and off in the instrument panel, particularly when the van is leaning into a turn. Is this some sort of contact or switch problem?
There are two or more "button" contacts on the front edge of the sliding door and mating contact on the door post. If these contacts are dirty/corroded circuit isn't made and the system thinks the door is open.
Try cleaning the contacts. A pink pencil eraser is generally abrasive enough to clean contacts like these up. If you need to be a bit more aggressive, use some fine emery cloth. If the contacts have a pronounced wear spot, you can rotate the grommet & contact as a unit to start using a new spot.
Of course, if the rollers and latch on the sliding door are worn to the point that the door doesn't align properly you may never get the contacts to function properly.
