If you have a kift kit which brand is it? Did you have to buy any extra parts to complete the lift? How is the quality of the parts for your lift kit?
I done some research and I think that pro comp has the most complete kit. Does anyone have one of these?
I have a superlift 4", came w/ everything I needed except longer ubolts in the rear. Bolt on install except for the extended radius arm frame mounting points, I had to drill for those. I would not recommend rear addaleafs, I used them instead of extra blocks and it did not raise the rear as high as the front. If you do get addaleafs, get a block as well to either level it off or give the factory rake back.
On my 92 F250 I had a Trailmaster 4" kit installed. I had to buy a drop pitman arm.
After the install I had the 2" blocks that came with the kit swaped for some 4" ones.
The supplied blocks gave my truck a tail drager look (not cool) Other then that the kit was very complete.
4" superlift - mine came with a pitman arm, but NOT brake lines. I also just have the blocks with no add a leafs. I wish i went with 6" though at the time. mine also included shocks. when i got it the one shock was missing the bushings... i had an old set that i used, and when i talked to the guy i bought it from, he said that since they goofed, is there anything they can do to make it right. i said i took care of it already, so he ended up sending me a FREE single stabilizer with mounting brackets (national tire and wheel from WW)
i like mine, i have only had it aligned twice in 4 years, and have only recently needed to go with different caster (i think thats what it was) degree bushings.
i'd decide on a height that you want (or a functionality) and then go 2" bigger than that
