Talking ridin' low

I'm wanting to lower the rear of my '90 1/2 ton F-150...Im also thinking of getting some 2" shackles and 2" blocks....its sitting about 3 and a half inches higher than the front. Does anyone think blocks are a bad idea? Ive heard they tend to squeak. Also how hard would this be to do? a dayz work or so? Where can i find some good shackles and also does anyone know how hard this would be? I have all the tools, I dont think i need to weld or cut anything, everything should just bolt right up....any other hints or tricks or tips would be appreciated!

thanks in advance

I have never lowered a truck before, but I know a company called Bell-Tech specializes in lowereing all sorts of vehicles, including trucks. Might want to look them up. I'm not sure what you mean by using blocks to lower the truck. Aren't F150s spring-over-axle in the rear? Adding a block would raise the truck. You could have your springs re-arched for less height.
