Magnuson Moss ACT

Does anyone know about the Magnuson Moss act? My tranny is about to go on my truck and I still have 7000 miles left on my powertrain warranty. I have a feeling that the dealership is going to try to say that because I have a lift and bigger tires that that is the reason and they will not fix my tranny under warranty. Can someone help me have a clear understanding so I can go in there with a little bit of knowledge on the subject so I don't get ripped off?

Good luck. The owner's manual specifically says that altering the chassis voids warranty on parts affected. And the tranny is affected.

I agree......another problem with doing mods like that, the value of your truck drops like a rock!!!!

Take the lift kit off before you take it to the dealer.

Unfortunately, I don't think you have a leg to stand on. Bigger than intended overall wheel diameter puts quit a strain on a transmission, not to mention the anti-lock braking system.
