Check Engine Light shorted!?
I hooked up the jumper wire for extracting the codes and my memory played a trick on me;- I got wires mixed up and applied current to the jumper.
Well... now my check engine light is gone...forever I guess, as it doesn't light even at startup. And nothing happens when I try to get the codes the "right" way.
Also, my mileage is somewhat worse than the usual "bad". But running smooth.
Anyone been there?
Have I shorted the main Electronic Engine Control? Or have I just burnt a memory chip?
