2001 Purchase question?
I am thinking about buying a 2001 F150 XLt ext.cab, 5.4L, offroad package, adjustable pedals, overhead outdoor temp and direction,towing package. The truck has 28,000 miles. They were asking 21,999 for it. They came down to 19,923. Is this a good price on this truck? Is there anything to look for on this model year? Thanks for all your help. Joks

Without looking at the blue book I would say that was a good price. I have a 2001 and there is nothing I can think of looking for, as far as problems. I would make sure it has the factory installed tow package, just look for a aux transmission cooler, if your going to tow. We bought a 2001 XLT 4x4 less than 2 years ago with 25000 miles on it and paid $23000 and it didn't have the Off-Road, tow package, or adjustable pedals. We now have 96000 miles on it and have only done normal maintnance. If it still has the Wrangler RTS tires on it I would change them, personal preference. We have Bridgestone Deuler AT Revo on both trucks, awesome tires great traction, the heavy duty look better.
