can anyone tell me what i need to do to put a 351 windsor into my 1988 f150 it has the fuel injected 302. the 302 is getting weak and i have a good 351 w that i want to put the fuel injection on it. i now all i have to do is sweap intakes but what about the flywheels? the 351 has a manual trans and the truck i am putting it in has auto, will the flywheel from the 302 work on the 351?

The 302 fuel injection won't fit on the 351, Not sure about the flywheels, flexplates. There is different balance weights on certain years.

The only part of the fuel injection that won't fit on the 351 is the intake manifold and possibly the fuel rails. Electronically, everything is pretty much the same, except the 351 lacks a tapped hole for the knock sensor. I would recommend getting a 351 computer, but I would still try the 302 computer first to see how it does. The flywheels will not interchange as far as I know. The balances of the engines are different weights, so the flywheel/flexplate will have to be specific to a 351.
