The easiest way is to take an old distributor, remove the gear...install it and drive it with a drill, untill you get oil comming out uf the rocker shafts...d44hd
Since I was replacing the pump shaft with an upgrade part, I took the old pump shaft and welded an appropriate sized socket to the end. I had to gring it down a bit to fit through the distributor hole.
If I remember correctly, it spins counter-clockwise when looking down from the top.
i bought a shaft to do that it was like 5 bucks at checker. you need a drill with some nuts to turn it though, i used my Milwaukee hole hog and it struggled.
Use a deep 1/4" chrome socket on an extension and turn the oil pump shaft counterclockwise. It doesn't need to spin that fast; you can do it with a pneumatic ratchet and that will adequately move the oil around after about 30 seconds.
