Possible turbo?
First of all I would like to introduce myself, my name is justin and I am from Northwestern Ohio. I currently have a 95' f-150 2wd ext. cab with a 300 ci straight six. I have been wondering the cabibilities of weather or not it is possible to turn my truck into a twin turbo model. if not i have seen a staight six with supercharger. wondering if any insight might be helpful. Another problem we have here in ohio is deer. I have a slight incident with the front of my truck. I have gotten some parts but still need help getting the rest. They are all for the passenger side. I need the side marker (beside the headlight), the headlight trim peice (gray), the filler bar (connects both quarter panels runs benieth the grill), and a new bumper. xl or xlt bumper is fine. If anyone is able to help it would be greatly appreciated. dont currently have pictures of my truck but if i get them will show off (will be in dark setting lots of pretty neons).
If you want a junkyard solution... fabricate yourself an exhaust manifold that mates to a TO3 or TO4 turbo, change the EFI system over the a GM 1227138 ECM, available in just about all of the mid to late 80's 3.8L FWD V6 cars (bonneville, lesabre, park avenue and others), and go to www.gnttype.org or www.diy-efi.org and download the 1987 Grand National code, burn an eeprom, stick it into the ECM, and wire it up.
The advantage of this ECM is that its common as dirt, and the knock sensor circuitry is for a 6 cyl engine, so all you need to do is wire it up with some GM sensors, and use the GN code and you have a very factory like system.
And Buick Grand Nationals are no slouch. If you can find the Grand National ECM with the code (same part number), the code is already in it, but they are reasonably rare, which is why I suggested the FWD ECM (same part, different code) and load in the GN code which is all over the web.
