Does this seem right?

I think I have a fuel system problem, when the 460 in my 78 ford is cold or warming up the fuel filter is completely full. After driving it for a while it starts to miss a little and when I look at the filter it is now almost empty and just a little fuel is squirting into it. Any ideas?

Check your rubber fuel lines.

I had a simular problem, the fuel line that goes to the pump from the hard line was bad.

Is your filter before or after the pump? If after the pump, check the pump pressure. Does the gas tank cap have a vent (some don't). If so, check that it is clear. And as others have said, check all the rubber lines, both before and after the filter.

Mine have always done that. Checked the pressure on my 63 and even with the filter almost empty, it still has 6psi.
