Engine Tick

I have put my own gasket in between the exhaust manifold and cylinder head and have paid a shop to install a new exhaust manifold and my truck still ticks. It is coming from that area and the shop is saying that my cylinder head is warped?!? Any home remedies to try or words of wisdom before I spend more money?

That is possible. Before spending a bunch of money on new heads make sure it isn't the dohnut where the manifolds meet the y-pipe

you can go to a machine shop and they can verify if the heads are warped.

Would the shop who put in the new exhaust manifold have put a new gasket at the manifold-ypipe connection?

Try using 2 gaskets doubled up. I did that before and it took care of the leak.
