well what i mean with the ball joints needing to be replaced is only if they had to move them? so im asuming if they had to adjust camber, but for toe thats all in the tierods so i dont see why theyed need to move the ball joints eather, im gonna try another place that my buddy brought his truck to, with 6 inches of lift and 36'tires, at 80 you can let go and she goes straight as an arrow, thats what im talkin about.
hladun, that is an excelent suggestion actually.
Good idea on that.
the reason it wears on outside, toe, is cause its dragging on the pavement. which will make the tires wear uneven also. thus why your tires get raelly noisy after awhile. =)
ok, that makes sense, they were quiet, then they got loud, i kinda like that, but there really loud on the highway. im gonna call around and get a price to have that fixed then,
the tires are brand new, there fore they are balanced. new tires and rims, and there is no vibrations, so i think im gonna rotate them for now and then when i get some more cash ill have someone align it for me.
Just had my 95 4x4 aligned and it was 49.99. They said i needed the lest drag link replaced and wanted $300 for that so I took it hime and did both sides for $80 and they aligned for $50. Sounds like a rip off get a second opinion.
If your tires are wearing on the outside and the insides are not even touching the ground, I think thats what you stated, it has nothing to do with toe. yes your toe may still be off, but it will cause a uniform wear unless something else is out of spec. What your seeing is horrible positive camber. The reason why it dosen't pull is because the camber is pretty close on each side, its just way positive. Toe will not cause a vehicle to pull, only caster and camber will cause pull, hard to believe but its true.
Have you ever lifted your truck? or put in leveling coils? or over load springs? those are the only thing that I can think of that would cause it. Your front end would have to be higher thus causing the I-beams to push away from the frame
There are bushing that you can replace to adjust for camber and caster but if its out of spec that bad I dont believe they will get it perfect. I would take it somewere just to have the alignment check to begin with.
Ok, well in the back the outsides of the tires dont touch eather, both sides though, its like there over inflated but the back has 22 psi of air and the front have under 30, so im not sure what the deal is, and it is stock springs, and no lift, no modifications i know of to the front end, but i have no clue what the previous owner did to the truck eather. im gonna bring it to like VIP and see if they will do it realatively cheap.
