underdrive pulleys
Hello again folks. Can anybody give me some info on underdrive pulleys. Are they worth the money? Do they really give xtra HP? If so, how do they create the xtra horses. What is a good brand to look for? Thanks Jordan

Yes, they have the effect of lowering the "parasitic" losses to the accessories. This will also lower the output of those accessories.
I think it's unlikely that you can do a better job in this trade-off than the factory engineers have done; however, your situation could be different than what they designed for. For example, you may run your engine to higher RPM's which would compensate for an otherwise slower running alternator. But, keep in mind that an alternator really doesn't present much of a load unless the system is requiring a big current draw.
Some people here do feel that it is a worthwhile modification. I tend to agree with LxMan.
