There is this book here, I bought it and read up on it and realized, for what it's worth, go with a stock 351W and you'll have the same power. As for the coolness factor, the supercharged Flathead takes the award.
edit - the link doesnt work, go to Amazon's site and search for a book called "Blown Flathead"
Anyone know why it posts all crazy when you try it?
Joe Abbins book "Blown Flathead" is available from Speedway along with several other must have flathead books.
Altho primarily about building a reliable supercharged flatty, Abbins book has the most detailed info on porting, relieving (with actual flow data) head reworking and just about anything else any builder should know.
By following his advice, and a few others, I was able to dyno an unblown 276 flatty at 193hp with nothing radical and built for street reliability. And it runs cast iron heads.
