Will it hurt the hubs if you leave them locked in??? We have a superduty that is going to be used as a field piece(fire truck). We would like to leave them locked in for the convenience of not having to get out of the truck and locking them in everytime we go off road. The longest distance we will travel on paved surfaces is about ten miles.
Thaks for the input. I don't think wear will be an issue, either. Our old truck is a 78 Dodge power wagon and it only has 8000 miles on it. Then we have our "old brush truck".... a 52 dodge military surplus pickup. Still going. We have this new truck loaded with a 300 gallon tank and pump assembly. The power stroke pulls like the truck is still empty.. One more question... Can we get a set of 285/75/16's on the OEM 16x7's with no problem????? The stock tires are a little weak looking. Thanks again for the insight.
Thanks 78 fordman. I have looked at the spec sheets on the tires and you only lose 105 lbs of load per tire when you go to the bigger tire. The only thing is, the maximum pressure goes from 85 psi to 65 psi. Will that make any difference in the way the truck handles the load???
