Cylinder honing
1990 F-250 2 wd 351W 90,000 km bought recently to ride in gravel road to my cabin.
It has a lot of blowby, following your advises i went straight to cylinder 8 that had top ring broken . There are some grooves in the cylinder.
Do I have to hone until their total disappearance or is there some limits to go before reboring ?

I would hone until they are close to gone. There are limits to the cylinder dia. for a standard piston ring. Depending on how much money you can spend there are a couple ways to go if you have to hone too much:
1) Find some rings that are a little longer. You need to try and keep the ring end gap to spec. Good parts houses will have them. If the cylinder dia. is too far out then the piston can slap (rattle) in the cylinder a little but you can get many thousands of miles like that.
2) Bore and buy new pistons.
