tailgate ? for a 66

does anybody know if a tailgate off of a 74 will fit on a 66?

Purchased a tailgate for 65 and found the 'flaresides' are interchangeable from 53-72. Believe the tailgate for the 'stylesides' are only interchangeable for couple years 64-66.

64 to 72 will work. The 67-72 looks a little different, but the body lines match up, and it fits fine.
Luckily those are repro'd so you can buy a new one if you want. Phil

talked to a ford mechanic and he said styleside tailgates from 1964-1972 interchange. rerunz
