I would like to install a brake controller in my truck (97 F150 XLT 4x4 w/ tow package). I was wondering where exactly this controller plug is located. Someone told me it was below the cigarette lighter under the dash. Somewhere else said to remove the fuse block panel from the dash to find it. The only thing I could see for a plug was mounted to the parking brake bracket, visible when standing outside or laying across the front seat. It's a silver colored plug with a green and a red wire, didn't notice any stripes. If you have a Haynes manual, it's in a picture on page 9-19 in picture 13.6, it's located down and to the left of the socket driver mounted on the metal bracket not the one hanging down below. If this is not the controller plug, then what is it for? Thank you for your help and information.

I guess noone here has. Well, I went inline and found the information I needed with pictures which really helped me find the correct plug. I'll be installing it tomorrow.
