04 alternator output

I just ordered an 04 F150 XL reg cab 8' bed 4x4. The salesman told me the towing option would upgrade the alternator, but I see no mention of this in the literature. Is this true? and if so, what is the output. Oh yes, it's a 4.6

TRAILER TOW PACKAGE Required for towing over 4,000 lbs. Includes • Class III/IV trailer hitch receiver, 4/7-pin wiring harness, heavy-duty 72-amp battery, upgraded radiator and auxiliary transmission oil cooler.

As a follow up, my XLT 4x4 with the towing package came with a 130 amp alternator, standard. As the ford site says, no upgrade is noted.

Thank you for the information, I must have misunderstood the dealer. 135 amps seems like it would be enough.

Your salesman may have misunderstood the upgraded battery. It would be nice if Ford put this info on their website and brochures - they used to! At any rate, the rating has been on every window sticker I have seen.
