I have a 99 ford F150 truck. When i hook up the 4 to 6 pin connector to the trailer the LH trailer brake and turn lights do not flash or ilumniate when brake pedal is pushed or signal turned on. The RH side works fine. i checked for voltage on the truck side but am not getting voltage for the LH side. Is there a relay that controls this voltage? I have checked fuses in cab and they appear to be okay. Trailer side is okay so am trying to troubleshoot the truck side?
I have a 4 pin connector on the truck that is a ford production part. I checked for voltage here also. I get the RH turn and brake but not the LH turn brake?
I have a 2002 expedition and have the same problem as you but it is the right side that gives me the same problem as you.. All factory wiring too. Wish I had a good answer.
Are these 4-wire Ford connectors that you guys have the larger ones made for seperate turn/brake lights? Or are the truck's turn signals and brake lights the same bulb?

Mine is factory original 4 wire. Left side works great right side running lights work but turn and brek do not work on the trailer or when I ck voltage at the harness under the car.
I install hitchs at work and if I remember ford has a seperate circuit for trailer wiring. There are two fuses i think that power these circuits. I would look for these fuses either inside the cab or under the hood in the main distribution center. Hope this helps.
