Where is our moderator?

I haven't seen alanscott post in what seems like months, and now I notice his name is missing from the forum main page.

Did he leave? Is everything ok?

Anybody have any info?

No info, Cookie, just speculation. I haven't seen him here for a while either, and just recently noticed that his name is gone from it's usual spot as moderator.
There's a post started by Ken trying to recruit moderators. Do you feel like stepping up? One of the criteria to be a moderator is that you have to be recommended by a current moderator, similar to getting into the Baseball Hall of Fame. If you're tight with any of the current administration, you ought to go for it.

Haha. well, thanks for the vote of confidence, but I was actually thinking you would make a fine replacement.

I would gladly do if I were to get asked, but I won't be getting asked, I'm too much of a toublemaker.

Either of you would make fine replacements. I've learned quite a bit from both of you.

jharvey has a good idea, Quad and cookie could share in the duties of moderator. Both of them are quite knowledgable and I too have learned much from both of them. Anyone else feel the same?

We'd probably kill each other. We're both addicted to power. Just look at what we drive!

In this corner weighing in at 280 hp with a whopping 425ftlb of torque QUAAAAAAADZilla..........

An in the other corner weighing in at 285hp pushing 428 ftlbs is COOOOOKie88.

Ding Ding....Cookie's got a little more power but Quad's armed with a double shot of Propane......

Actually.....I'm closer to 800 ftlbs. and I can counterpunch the 'pane with a double shot of water and methanol.

I'd be happier just litting Quad do it. The problem with being a moderator is you occasionally have to moderate. Not really a problem in this forum, the folks here are exceptionally well behaved.....most of the time

Anyways, the point of this post was not for a popularity contest, or to find a replacement. I really would like to know what happened to the guy.

Just being funny, it's been one of those days I rescued an old IH Cub Cadet, read real old you know 1962'ish, and have been having lot's of fun, NOT, need to put a 1995 PSD on it

I had to report one of my earlier post to a mod, it had turned into a grudge match and when I went to look for Alan he wasn't there the mod that dealt with the post said they had an APB out on him.

800ftlb :-staun Anything you can't tow?

I know exactly what you mean, we had a very old cub for a long time. Damn fine mowing machine once it's operational though.

Haven't run across it yet.

Well, I have gotten great advice from both you guys and would expect it to continue. I have not seen any nastiness from either of you when newbes ask stuff that is readily available. I know that takes some reservation not to jump on them.
