best gasket sealer ?

I've alsmost gone blind reading the search results for "gasket sealer" . Tons of good info there but not what I'm needing so I'll have to ask

We have the 360 cid short block back from the machine shop and are ready to put it back together with new gaskets and a freshyly painted 1969 F100 engine bay.

What is your favorite gasket sealer for the pan gasket and valve covers ? What the recommendation for water pump gaskets ?

i use high temp red RTV sealer, seems to be the best.

Since I found Permatex Ultra Copper, I use no other. It's designed for high heat apps, but works just fine on any gasket. It has a nice consistency, and remains pliable indefinitely. It also works well around oil.

I also use Permatex. The ultra copper is great for exhaust manifolds. Never had one to leak since I started using it. I also keep a tube of the regular orange type around for everything else.
