engine help wanted
I have a 1980 1/2 ton with a very tired 300ci 6cyl. What years will have engines that will bolt in? What years will the long block bolt in? I have a rebuilt head. Any good sources for used engines in the Sacramento area? Thanks.

I can't tell you where to find one in your area, but any 300 six, no matter the vintage will bolt directly into your existing setup, with no mods required.

i agree with desperado...any for 300 that you get your hands on will bolt in...you can get remanned motors from napa and checker auto stores for roughly 1100 bucks...you might also check some of your local junkyards...some machine shops have engines that they rebuilt for somebody and never got picked up...check with them, too...
