bumper problems
i have an 2003 expy with the grayish bumpers, the rest of my truck is a nice red and i wanted the bumpers the same color. I heard that painting plastic parts can get pricey and they just chip anyway... aka chevy avalanche's side panels. Has anyone had any experience with this?

There is a Special paint for plastic parts and if done properly it won't chip. Local paint shops just want the big buck and use the paint they have in stock. Post this in Body & Paint Forums and hear what they have to say. Good luck and let us know.

The paint is the same as applied to the rest of the car, but includes additives to increase flexibility so that it doesn't crack.
Personally, I don't like plastic bumpers on trucks, but it seems that most have them these days.
