I want to replace the tires on my truck. I have a 2000 F-250 Ext. Cab 4x4, V-10.
I currently have 285x75x16 wild Country At's.
These make to much noise.
What tire's do ya'll recommend? I wouldn't mind going one size smaller, (might help a tad with gas mileage?) or staying with the 285's. I like the look of the AT tires but don't want the "howl" that goes with the agressive tread AT's.
A friend recommended the BFGoodrich AT's.
The main purpose of the truck is a daily driver and to pull my boat. No serious offroading. Some trails, but thats usually it. What do you recommend??
Thanks,

No empirical data yet, but the Yokohama Geolander A/T+ is what I'm about to order for my new F-250. $107 each from TireRack in 285-75/16's. Going to a smaller tire should reduce your fuel economy unless you're lugging your engine with your current speed/RPM combination.
That does look like a good tire. Let me know what you think. Main thing I am trying to avoid is the loud "roar" normally associated with agressive AT tires.
