More Shock Questions

I have seen a lot of discussion as to who builds the best shock for these big trucks. Edelbrock and Rancho 9000 seem to get the most attention.

My question to you all is this. My truck is a 2000 XLT SC LB XLT V-10 4X2. I haul a 4K lb. utility trailer daily for my business. The truck does seem to hop more then I would like while towing. Are the above mentioned shocks the best set-up for a 4X2????? Also, are there any other things I could do to improve handling?

One more thing. Since I tow ALOT, albeit light, would I benefit from a Banks TransCommand????

Ideas????

You say you tow a 4000LB TRAILER, and you say you tow alot. Do you mean you tow that trailer alot? Or do you have another bigger trailer that is alot heavier? Because the truck isnt even working towing a 4000lb trailer.

If you have wheel hop, then perhaps the trailer isnt loaded right. Are you towing with a class IV hitch or what? You shouldnt have to change shocks to tow a 4000lb trailer with that truck.

More Shock Questions

I tow a 4000lb trailer daily. I own a air duct and furnace cleaning business and the power-vac equipment is in the trailer. The trailer is loaded over the wheels, and the tounge weight is possibly just a tad heavy. (drop hitch).
I have a class V hitch that is rated to 12,000 lbs. About 5 times a year, I tow my boat which is about 9,000 lbs. with the trailer. Truck does great in all instances, but still feels a bit spongy, particularly down the freeway when I hit a rut. It is not bad, but I have heard others on this board claiming that shocks installed early on (my truck has 7500 miles) has made a huge difference.

Am I flushing away my cash???
