steering column swap

I have a 1987 f150. Will a column out of a 1986 f150 match wiring and all? Thanks.

I'm not sure, but I don't think so. It will probably bolt in fine and work to steer, but not sure if the wiring will match up. I've got an 86 now and used to drive an 87 at an old job. When the front clips changed, so did the interiors. If you can look at the two closely side by side though, just see if the connectors look the same. If they do you should be fine. Otherwise I'd start looking for an 80-86 column.
