Question Performance upgrades

I'm looking to make my 4.0L 02 Ranger 4x4 faster. And more so than just a K & N filter or cold air induction. Does anyone make a supercharger for this vehicle? or any other suggestions

An air intake, performance exhaust (gibson or similar) will do a good amount to help the engine breathe (and will be required with a supercharger anyway). A lot of people install a larger MAF sensor and throttle body with intakes, which is said to help very little with a mostly stock engine, but do a good number when supercharged. Another good easy mod is a Diablo computer chip, which will require premium fuel, give more power at all RPM's, and help the tranny shift firmer (and change shift points) with an auto tranny. A lot of people like to install electric fans to reduce parasitic drag on the engine, with good results. And yes, I do believe there are superchargers for the 4.0L SOHC. Maybe BBK, Whipple, or Explorer Express..? I don't remember for sure. There are some other forums where you can find more info about supercharging rangers. I'll let you know when/if I find them again.
Maybe we should ask how much you want to SPEND to make it faster...
