Yesterday I saw what appeared to be a regular cab, shortbed Super Duty. I was under the impression that the F-250 only came with a longbed on the regular cab. Is there such a thing from the factory or was it custom?

Not sure where you saw it, but Ford has built ProtoType units for testing. Did you see the plates?

I saw it here in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Didn't catch the plates though. I believe I've seen it once before right in the same area of town. One of my neighbors did a regular cab shortbed conversion on a '99 F-350 4x4 for his snowplow truck so it's not like it can't be done.
