Differential Question

I have a 98 F150 4wd and correct me if I am wrong, but the ring gear is in the diff? Anyway what sized ring gear would I have.

Also I have been given direction on this before but I still havent found it...How do I find out what my gear ratio is

Look on the rear tag on the differential. The first set of numbers on the bottom row, it will be like 3 l73 which is a limited slip 3.73 ratio or 4 10 for 4.10 gears.
