OD lite flashing
Hi everyone!
I have a 2001 f150 xlt pickup Auto Trans. In town traffic when the trans changes up when driving slow it flares - the engine revs and the next gear slides in when its ready and the OD lite is flashing all the time and service eng soon lite is on. When I drive on the open road the OD lite generally goes out. I can reset the code by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes and the fault will be gone for a day all lites go out, then its back doing its slipping thing at low speed service lite and flashing OD lite on again. I had the codes read 0750 shift solenoid..... Anyone have any experience with this?

Does it flare on upshifts between any gears, or just the 2-3 upshift? On my 1999 Expy with the 4R70W trans, I had a problem with a weak 2-3 acculmulator valve spring that caused an occasional flare and O/D light flash. $250 at your local friendly Ford dealer.

it flares 2-3. It hangs in 2 until you give a bit of gas then it changes to 3 with a jolt (only when the OD lite is flashing and Service lite is ON) If your crusing around town is the only time it happens. When you slow down for the traffic or coast at low speed 10-20 mph it starts again when you give it a little more gas.
