Question Whats it worth?

Ok, What is a complete rebuildable 7.3 worth? Whats the going rate ?Need an idea would like to find one and go thru it and replace my existing engine with little or no down time while also laying ground for TURBO !!Present engine runs well just really want a turbo for pulling. New truck is just tooo costly don't want monthly payments! CHEAPER to KEEPER, old trucks have "panashe" (?).

Talking block

Thanks ! have a few options gotta get a lead on one and hunt it up!Is the 7.3 really a poked 6.9 or is there some more material there? I know there is not that many cubes differance in size but every little bit helps. Like I said present engine runs well have one more mod to do ( 3" exhaust) but, want to have a spare ready and acquire turbo kit and put it in truck as a new unit and keep on trucking!!

The block is different. I think they added "some" thickness to the cylinders, just not enough. The bad part of your search is you will either find a good runner ($$$$), or one with a hole in it ($). The bad part is the first one can turn into the second one in a day.

maybe ya would be better off getting a reman engein with a warranty. there kinda expensive but much cheaper then a new truck with paymnents. i dont no how much money ya can save by doing the work yar self by the time ya figure in yar time to go find all the parts in good shape. plus no matter how good of a mechanic ya cant give yar self a warranty thats worth anything. just my 2 bits

7.3 are 6.9 with .110 bored out. I just got a 6.9 in my truck and it bolted up the same and everything switched over. you can't tell that its a 6.9 expect for the serial number
