460 efi heads

anyone know if i can use f3te heads instead of e7te casting. i have a 92' f-250 and can get a good deal on the newer heads.

Take a good look at the exhaust port shape on both years of heads. There has been at least 2-3 exhaust changes since the EFI heads came out...you may not be able to use your existing exhaust manifolds with the newer heads.

so you think it will bolt on fine? and what about the difference in valve size, will i have to make any mods. i'm not worried about the exhaust ports as i'm gonna add headers

Should bolt up fine. Headers are a good thing. Plus the newer heads had bigger valves and a bigger exhaust ports. AKA more power.

I just put E7TE heads on my 93 which had F3TE heads on it because I just got a deal on them. Everything is interchangeable. I didnt notice any loss of power only a gain, but thats because the heads are new. E7TE Heads are actually better heads for durability but lose a few ponies in the process.
