correct tire pressure?
It has long box, reg. cab, 4x4, 5 speed manual, 5.4L V8
The tires are LT235/85-R16 load range E.
Max psi listed on sidewall is 80 psi.
As delivered, it had 64 psi tire pressure.
How do I know the 64 psi is correct? How do I "close in" on the correct tire pressure?
The psi listed on the sticker on the door jamb is 50 psi front, 80 psi rear.

I've been running 50 to 55psi front and rear.
Tire wear has been even and the ride is pretty good. Door jamb calls for 45/70. the 70 rear psi recommendation is to get max load capacity.
If your running empty, I'm sure you can get away with a psi thats as low as that which was recommended for the front..
70 psi in the rear when empty made the truck dance around quite a bit..

the sticker has 5o psi front and 70 rear.If you put less than that in your tires they will not last that long.Same goes for if you would put to much air in them. I read where goodyear says that if you were to run your tires 4 to 5 psi low it would decrease your tire life by 15%.Plus is a little better ride worth your life????
