I have a 2000, F250 Super Duty, Super Cab, with 7.3 Diesel and am experiencing sever roughness in the front-end. At times on rough pavement it acts like there are no shocks on it and it bottoms out on the least bump or rough spot in the road. My dealer has agreed that it is too rough but has offered no solution. Has anyone had anything like this and if so what have you done about it?
Don't know if this is the same problem or not. My Super Duty F Series RV on the front has hub-centered-type-wheels and the hub is stud-pilot-type-assembly. Ford, so far have not give the dealers a permanent fix. They have tried
shims and equal. No help. I finally got Winnebago to get their contact at Ford who called and said they would work on it. There may be thousands of them out there with this problem. Accuride made the wheels. Tire size G 670 RV, 245/70R19.5.
Sounds stupid but check the tire pressure. My dealership filled my 235/85R16s with max-load pressure (65/80) and it felt like riding on rock wheels. When unloaded I run (60/50) and have seen on newsgroups where (50/40) is fine.
