'98 Windstar-won't start

I have a 98 Windstar,3.8L, turn the key and it blows the 60a fuse under hood. Have replaced starter, when I cross over at starter it will start but starter stays engaged. Please help!!!!

Have you replaced the starter solenoid?

The solenoid is on the starter. Is there another?

Did the problems start after you replaced the starter? Rebuilt starters don't have a good reputation these days.

The problem started with the original starter, both have been tested and both are okay.
