i read an article in 4x4 mag a year or two back and they compared all the major brands, and a couple do-it-yourself ones. as far as all aroud quailty and performance the picked:
1)speedliner
2) rinoliner
they liked the speedliner better because it did not get as soft in real hot weather, nor as hard in real cold weather as the rino did. it stayed more stable and had a consistant hardness.
after i read the whole thing i would go with the speedliner
I put a Line-X in my 04 King Ranch dually. Cost was 425.00 under the rail.
I recently helped my daughter and son-in-law move. That means dressers (heavy oak ones) sliding in and out, workout weights and everything you have in and out of the truck. Not a mark! I Sure did not get that kind of use out of the drop in kind that I had in my last PSD. I have a pic or two in my Gallery of mine.
I see you have a King Ranch - Is it a SRW or DRW?

I have always loved the look of the rhino lining with the UV spray on it.. looks cleand and sharp... BUT, i absolutly love the lineX sprayed on aftermarket bumpers and toolboxes and steps and stuff. I am torn between the two.
As far as quality.. they are both excelent, you really can't go wrong with either one. Rhino Linings have a smoother softer finish to them, the lineX is more sand-papery, rougher. It really comes down to which you like best and which works best for your app.
Go either way, both have lifetime warranties, great products.
My father-in-law has a Line-X in his Z-71, and I like it a lot. I've seen Rhino Liners in used trucks on the used car lot and they look like trash. It was very soft and peeling off. Once my F350 comes in, I'll be getting Line-X. They quoted $475 for an 8' bed.
I have a Line-X and a rubber bed mat over that. I have the bed mat because the Line-X is hard on the knees when working in the bed. Works great for me.
You know, I used to like the drop-in plastic liners because it was so easy to slide stuff in and out of the bed (lumber or a pallet of bricks for example). I got the Line-X in my new truck and noticed that it's not that much more restrictive when sliding stuff in and out... to my surprise. I do have the UV top coat, so I'm not sure if that makes a difference in the ease or restriction of sliding.
Depending what your truck will be hauling,if it is sand and gravel then get Line-X.
If on the otherhand you will be hauling furniture/kitchen cabinets
then go with the Rhino,it's a little more forgiving.
Go Line-X......I have Line-X in three trucks and never had a problem, mine has never faded either. Also you can goto Line-X.com and get a $20.00 off coupon.
