HPX question??

I've been thinking about making my own HPX, and I got a few ???? What kind of pressure will the hose see under normal conditions. Also i've heard it smooths the idle but what other benifits is their to this mod?? Any instructions or hints in ths regard would be welcomed. Thanks for any input ahead of time. ltfox

The purpose of the HPX hose is to equalize the pressure in the high pressure oil lines. What this does for you, is allow the system to maintain a high enough pressure for two adjacent cylinders that fire consecutively, to both have adequate pressure to fire the injectors completely. You might very well see a smoother idle, and you might see a slight improvement in hp output, but you'd have to have your butt-dyno calibrated to measure it.
My question for you is this: why bother trying to make one yourself, when a quality unit is for sale for $30?
In answer to your question, you'd need hose and fittings capable of withstanding 3000psi, with a higher burst rating.
