overdrive.......

If im not mistaken, in 1965 overdrive, for a 3 speed on the column, was an option. Ive seen it where the overdrive looks like a parking brake handle that is to the right of the steering column under the dash. If this is right then where could i find it and how would i go about putting it in?

I think that requires the od transmission, it doesn't add on to a std 3 speed. I have seen some in the boneyard and they looked pretty light duty.

This is the one used with the FE big block engine up thru model year 1972 ('66 in the cars). Believe me this is not "Light Duty".

So I see. Maybe what I've seen was 6 cyl version? It looks like a stout unit.
