B/M trans drain plug

B/M trans drain plug
Can somebody out there help with the location of trans drain plug on 4r70w. Does it go in the recessed area in the middle of the pan? If so, how much clearance will there be between the filter suction tube and the plug. Thanks, Jordan

Its made by B&M and can be purchased at any good auto parts store for about $6-$8 dollars. You simply drill a 1/2" hole in your pan,put the threaded end of the plug thru the pan,washer on the outside,and tighten the nut on the inside of the pan. I use a small bit of Teflon tape on the plug that is inserted into the middle of the drain. This type of drain plug is called a "piggy back" plug.
