I have an '89 F-150 that I am wanting to put an after market radio in, but the factory clips are missing, does anyone know where i can get a set and roughly what it would cost?
I've always cut mine off and spliced the wires. I'm too cheap to buy the correct harness. A Haynes or Chilton manual will have a decent enough wiring diagram to help you out with the truck end, and the installation manual for your radio will everything from that end. Or you could go to a junk yard and cut one out or from Ford. Either way you will be splicing wires.
Sorry not much help here.
Mike
thanks for what little help you gave me, maybe someone will drop a line and help a lil more I had the idea already to go to a junk yard, but the nearest one is a ways away, I guess I will be splicing, but oh well, whatever works
for all who are wondering what I meant by the wire colors are odd, I mean that they are like orange with a green stripe, orange with a black stripe, white with a green stripe, green with a yellow stripe, yellow with a black stripe, blue with a red stripe, and 2 black with white stripes
