Question about backspacing
If I were to put LT/315/75/R16 Tires on my truck...would less backspacing mean that they are less likely to rub the frame of the truck. My wheels I think are 4.5 in backspacing
What is the difference between backspacing and the offset?

Backspace is the distance from the wheel lip to the mounting surface.
Offset is the difference, usually in mm, the wheel mounting surface if from the center of the rim.
Yes, less backspace on the wheels will move the tire away from the frame, it will also add more stress to components like wheel bearings.
