Keyless Entry

Can anyone help me locate the factory keyless entry module or brain, on my 2001 SD CC V10? Finally got it 2 weeks ago after a 3 month wait, and it was worth it. bought an alarm system that is suppose to be an upgrade to the factory keyless entry but can't find the location of the module to wire it up. have looked under drivers side dash and could not see anything that would resemble an entry module. what should I be looking for and where. Thanks for your time.

Sorry, I can't answer your question. But where did you get your alarm? I've been looking for one compatible with the keyless entry with no luck.

Found it online at commandoalarms.com. but useless unless you know where to find the remote keyless entry module.

I think the keyless entry feature is controlled by the GEM (Generic Electronic Module). It's found behind the fuse panel.

My 1999 F250 keyless entry ( and Panic Alarm )fails to work after the system is inactive for several hours. It works great after opening the door with a key, until it sits idle for several hours.
