the truck is an automatic and i dont here any clicking from the controller at all. when i tested the wires to the glow plugs they did not light the test light. do you know how much glow plugs go for and how much a controller costs?

Beru glow plugs are around 10 dollars each at Autozone. Please specify Beru plugs.
If you go that route the controller is around 170 dollars at Ford.
You can also put a manual switch button on the relay to heat the glowplugs for about 5 dollars.
The reason I asked if it was a manual, you could give it a pull to start it and see how it ran before spending any dollars on it.
